Our councillors are meeting next week for July’s meeting and you view an agenda for the  meeting here.

The meeting will start at 7.30pm at the village hall on Arthington Lane.

We are looking for a local resident to join us as a Parish Councillor.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in our community.

Interested applicants will be invited to attend a short interview at our next meeting on Tuesday 16th July.

Last week the council met for the Annual Meeting, where the councillors reviewed and approved the year’s accounts and were formally sworn into the parish council following May’s local elections. Minutes of the meeting shall be published shortly on the Agendas & Minutes page.

If less than 10 people express an interest in the vacancy, the council will hold interviews directly at July’s meeting to elect a councillor by co-option.

On Tuesday 28th May, our council will meet to formally elect Arthington Parish’s new councillors as part of the Annual Meeting. The usual proceedings will commence after this at 7.30pm.

All residents are welcome to attend to learn about local matters, raise any questions they may have, or to simply meet the councillors who work to make our community better.
